Sonnet

:
When winter’s cotton falls December last
Like midnight pearls from heaven’s noble gate
Bring memories back from forgotten past
To chill and warm the heart from wounded fate;
So shall the darkness prey upon recall
Take all thy troubles toward Pandora’s Box
And melt away the slip of covered fall
For cold to bear and wind to lash the docks
But let thyself abscond eternal tie
To understand though dwell where ends may meet
And sweet Persephone’s last sigh and cry
Of crystal diamonds heal new grass, new wheat
And be the saccharine, soft morning dew
Whereupon first touch creates life anew.
