Après avoir été longuement séparés, quatre amis d'enfance se retrouvent dans les forêts du Maine, au nord-est des Etats-unis. Dotés de pouvoirs télépathiques suite à un acte héroïque, ils sont surpris par un blizzard qui cache une mystérieuse force maléfique.
