القصة :
بعد ألف عام من حريق السبعة الأيام , الحدث الذي دمر الحضارة الإنسانية و أتلف نظام الأرض البيئي , يعيش البشر في مستوطنات معزولة عن بعضها بجانب بحر من الفطر السام الذي نما على هيئة غابات متشابكة مشكلاً بيئة كل ما فيها ينضح بالسمية حتى الهواء و تسكنها حشرات عملاقة بشعة كل همها شن الحروب على من يسكن بالجوار. ناوسيكا أميرة وادي الرياح , شابة لطيفة و محبوبة من قبل أبناء شعبها الذي ينعم بالسلام هي و والدها الملك , ما الذي تحمله الأيام لمملكتها ؟ و لماذا اختلفت عن الكل ؟ هل يمكن أن يكون للحشرات و الغابة الفطرية القاتلة دور حيوي في النظام البيئي الجديد – كما ترى ذلك ناوسيكا؟
