Shammi Kapoor is a superstar who never really got his due. He was a style icon who had some of the finest trendsetting numbers picturised on him. The younger brother of show-man Raj Kapoor and son of legendary actor Prithviraj Kapoor, Shammi has given several musical hits like ‘Teesri Manzil’, ‘Kashmir Ki Kali, ‘Junglee’, ‘Professor’ and many more. The jovial star who immortalized the song ‘Yahoo’ will turn 75 this October 21st.
This year his filmmaker son Aditya Raj Kapoor will be spending the day with him. In fact the son has another surprise for Shammi as he has decided to remake his father’s popular hit film ‘Dil Deke Dekho’. It remains to be seen who will be signed to play Shammi’s part.
